I grew up on Sesame Street and so did my kids. Elmo is one of the favorite Sesame Street characters and I see this as a positive approach to news casting or weather reporting. Most of our kids hate to watch the news and this is a new way to get their attention. Not on the heavy stuff though but maybe on certain segments such as shown here.
