Forecast Weather
I grew up on Sesame Street and so did my kids. Elmo is one of the favorite Sesame Street characters and I see this as a positive approach to news casting or weather reporting.
Most of our kids hate to watch the news and this is a new way to get their attention. Not on the heavy stuff though but maybe on certain segments such as shown here. It will get the kids attention, they can start viewing the news in a fun way and it will eventually get them interested in the day to day occurrences around them.
